This was my first ever recap... Just wondering how terribly I did.

    Pasted the 7805's

Also the reason the legs are so long is because I didn't feel like bending every single one to fit properly into place.

Gauntlet - March in the Dark

    Sonic 2 - Chemical Zone

    Thunderforce 4 - Metal Squad

    Castevania Bloodlines - Stage 1

You should absolutely bend the legs properly. Get into the practice to ensure you don't break a capacitor, have the potential for a short or have issues in future where you may have limited clearance.

Ya I was just being a tad lazy, I did bend them all away from each other before I closed it, not the legs tho... At some point I am gonna bend the legs and pull/push them through a little more... Then improve my solder points and clean the flux off.

This was more of a test on an already shot Genesis, since my soldering skills are rusty and were never that great in the 1st place. Thank you for the criticisms, I need them lol.

Edit: Honestly if there's other issues, please let me know.

Are these not through hole? If they are through hole, the easiest thing to do is simply clear the holes of solder (using wick, pump, whatever) and then just pull the leads through the holes until the cap sits flush. Finish up the job by clipping any excess lead off the bottom of the board with a nice close diagonal cutter.

Make sure you clean flux residue thoroughly after soldering - it can cause corrosion.

Other than the above points, not bad! Just get into good soldering practice from day 1 ;)

They are, its just the holes are spaced weirdly... and you need to bend the legs to sit flush.
