Hi Ive got an old virtua cop 3 gun I/O board with wiring etc and a hotd 4 uzi gun (black) The uzi gun has a connector which doesn't fit into the wiring which came with the gun I/o board Anyone know how I can get the correct wiring or a way of making these work together? Thanks
I could be wrong, but I believe the HOTD 4 gun uses IR, whereas the VC3 gun is a standard lightgun. I think. If that's the case, then there's no way to make them work together.
ah crap lol ok if that's the case. What do I need to buy? a new gun board? I know I can get 2 old sega guns but I was told to get the hotd 4 gun as it has the extra buttons etc Although it was apparently pulled from a vop3 machine, it is just the old hotd4/lost world gun board

The bottom 9 pin one is the same as on my NAIMO2 machine and is for buttons on mine, there are two, one for P1 and another for P2, interesting to see that you only have one though.
no I do have one for each player. Sorry I didn't show it on photo Ive been told ive got everything I need, I simply have to cut the connectors off and join the cables together with splices or such
The connectors you have in your hand - the 9 pin is a standard harness for all Sega IR guns (used from HOTD2 all the way to HOTD4, with VC3 in there as well). Sega changed the molex connector a few times during the ten year cycle these guns were being produced - probably to make sure the individual part numbers stayed the same and people didn't simply replace say a HOTD2 gun with a VC3 gun. The little two pin connectors are for the button on the side of the VC3 gun. The VC3 guns you should have are blue with a black trigger, and a button on the left side of the gun. I have a ton of extra housings and gun parts for VC3 (I got to pull from the aftermath of 4 machines that were parted out at an auction), so if you need anything I'll try to help.
Oh sorry, no I don't have VC3 guns. I have HOTD4 uzi guns which have that top connector, somehow ive gotta make it work with the 9 pin connector Im confused why HOTD4 has so many wires etc compared to the 9 pin. Perhaps that 2 pin connector as you said is for connecting into it as well for buttons
