http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Sega/mcat-0202-0474-.htm So this is a link to our main auction site here in New Zealand for Sega stuff! I thought that it was time that I started collecting other gaming systems and have posted this for the following reasons, 1. I would like to know if there is anything of real value in here? (Cause I haven't got a clue) 2. So the rest of the World can have a laugh at how behind we are! 3. If you see something that you want and are prepared to pay for it, then send me a PM and I'll try and get it for you! (Shipping will be $18.60nzd for 500grams) Also, please feel free to check out the other gaming auctions! Please note that I haven't got anything listed on any auction, I would like to know out of pure curiousity if there is anything worth buying! Thanks in advance for any help with this PS2Guy!
[offtopic] Behind? Heck, maybe it is isolated compared to many places of the world, but NZ really seems a great place to live. [/offtopic] I just looked at the first page, really. Prices weren't great IMHO.
That's what it's like here, people will buy gaming packages with 30 games for $150 and then sell each game seperately for a MASSIVE mark up! And then there's the dreamers that think that what they've got is real valuable when it's not!
Wily Wars was only released in Australia/New Zealand on PAL Mega Drive. It's pretty expensive now, though.
I am fairly sure it got a European release, maybe limited to only one country. Otherwise it would be much rarer, like Snowboard Kids 2 or Starcraft 64, but it is not. It's just the idiots who bid on it that go crazy, but it's not a rare game. A couple of years ago the game wasn't worth more than 30-40 Euros.
I got banned from that site for nagging sellers to ship to the UK, Oztion banned me for the same reason too  http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Sega/Megadrive/auction-350919274.htm That'll be a nice buy if it stays cheap, the silver carts can fetch a few quid in Europe. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Sega/Megadrive/auction-351180779.htm That would have made a decent profit if someone hadn't sniped all the good games from the bundle . Everything else is either way too high or on the money, no real bargains jumped out at me. Oz/NZ got some nice little Sega oddities though so there is a few things to look out for. As already mentioned, silver carts sell well in Europe (especially for SMS) as do the Gold/Platinum collection re-releases. There were quite a few double packs for the SMS and MD too which can fetch a few quid. The main ones to look out for would be the 3 MD box sets that were released over there . Oh yeah, Megaman The Wily Wars wasn't an Oz exclusive, The Oz release has the G rating on it that isn't on the Euro cover.
 ,yeah it's not like Ebay, you have to be registered in NZ or OZ to bid on auctions! Thanks for the info, I'll be on the lookout now!
