Hi all, I just acquired a Red Lindberg EX System with no games. Inside is a GeForce 7600GS Card... My question is will the Multi Boot Kit work with this model? When I was researching I seen mostly Yellow hardware configured with Multi Boot. I pretty much want to play Virtua Fighter 5 but wouldn't mind playing the others. Will did setup work? Will I need to upgrade the Video card?

The Red EX system uses a Celeron cpu compared to the Yellow's Pentium 4 so I couldn't see Yellow Games running on Red EX.

The only system I could see having compatibility with Red EX is the original Red since they have similar specs.

Both cpus share the socket 478 but something tells me the System's bios might not like the change. Someone who has one of these may know better then I would but I highly doubt you can simply swap the cpu.

You'll have to switchout the sound PCI and JVS PCI for yellow cards and then switchout the CPU then it should work

    Good day Mooliecool...
I also have a red lindbergh (rambo) and plan to upgrade the CPU and ram

when you said switch out the sound pi and jvs pci..then switch out the cpu...

Do you mean i cant upgrade my CPU if i dont change my sound pci and jvs pci (change it to what? ) or do you mean plug and unplug?

I was planning to change the CPU to a higher P4 over the weekend.

    thanks for reading.

I am guessing that the Red and Yellow use different Sound and JVS cards, I know that some Yellow games use a 7800 for video.

Edit: Red uses onboard integrated audio while Yellow uses a dedicated sound card. My guess would be the Yellow games would need this card to be there in order to work. Probably a boot check or something.

You need to switch out the sound pci with a yellow one, same for JVS unless you are using a normal red, and switch the CPU to a Pentium 4 3Ghz and maybe add 512 MB of ram.
so that's pretty much how you can set it up.
