I'm not quite sure how to wire in the Lindy card reader. I have the Virtua Tennis 3 control panel with all the wiring for the card reader. The wiring goes into another small pcb (along with the wiring for the joystick and buttons) and then the wiring comes off that to a 2x5 and 3x4 connectors. Would this allow it to connect to the jvs board? http://www.tms-designs.com/theshed/default.asp?stockid=1689
This is a rather specific question. I believe your best bet is to ask AndyGeezer directly. He is the one selling card-readers AND the loom after all, so he should be able to know or even test it.
Card readers never plug into a JVS board, they generally plug directly into the game's board or a sub IO board. As said you're best asking AG as he would know.
Well I tried asking him, no response.... again. Although I did get response about a repair quote lol....selective service there;;
did you ever find out how to wire this up? Ive got a card reader coming soon too and need to know how to wire it up Manual doesn't show any wiring for card reader
Well, yes and no. From the small pcb on the control panel the wiring goes directly to the serial cable port on the lindbergh. I've asked one person and he is researching it at the moment. He will get back to me soon. Edit: Looks like you are talking about the Initial D wiring. It's very different from the normal sega ones, but I do have information on how to wire it up. This is only for Initial D 4+5 wiring. Btw if I may ask, where did you get your hands on them? I've been looking around for a while.
thanks for that. Yeah I knew it goes to serial port ebay...just saw it couple days ago so picked it up as it was cheap.
Where can I buy a yellow lindbergh in u.s. too much trouble buying in uk , freight, paypal, convert bank transfer charges are crazy.
