Sega really needs to design a REAL system. They could go with the PowerPC architecture like most systems are today, then use some kind of nVidia VDP, I am seeing too much ATI lately, the n wants some love too.
This is more like a joke tbh. I don't see them moving any rocks with this move.. we have enough of these cheap wii clones from china as it is and nobody buys them.. I also don't see how to play classic games with a wii mote besides running an genesis emulator on the wii, and I prefer playing them with a normal pad so I might as well buy the sega classics collection on the ps3. Why in hell would I fork out 60-70 euro just to support sega? If they would of remarketed the dreamcast with wii motes at that price they would at least have a chance, but this is a joke.
I don't think this is really a sega designed product. Sega have given licenses to several companies to make handheld and plug in units, typically with 20 games built in. Theres loads of different untis around now, not just Megadrive, but Gamegear and Master System ones too, this just looks to be a slightly more advanced version.
All this is is one of those shit chinese "Wii" rip off consoles with a Mega Drive on a chip built in. Nothing special at all. Pure shit! Better buying a real Mega Drive than this sub-par crap. Yakumo
if sega makes consoles again i will be on the buying if they got shenmue 3 with it would be cool i thing shenmue 3 is on the way because of sega all stars has ryo in the game its cool i think sega waiting to make there own console before we get shenmue 3 i wonder if we go from are saves from dreamcast would be cool
This is just a "Zone 40" console with Megadrive emulation built in. They flooded the UK a couple of Xmas's ago, now Sega sold them the rights to a few old games for a quick buck. The controllers are cheap and nasty, the emulation probably won't be perfect and you can't play any other Megadrive games other than what it comes with. I fail to see why anyone would want this over a real Megadrive.

Agreed. I can't imagine the chip having sound that wouldn't make me cringe. Doubt it'll run anything fun like Eternal Champions or Virtua Racing.

Why on earth would you want to make a system like that when Chinese manufactures pump out boat loads of MP4 style units which do everything + more, with just a simple SD card and internet download?
