No help unless you learn how to use punctuation.

Seriously, the MB3514 is a pin-for-pin replacement for the Sony CXA1145, which is the chip described in most Megadrive/Genesis video modification projects. I'd like to invite you to view a detailed description of all these ICs as well as links to datasheets over at GamesX:

too bad genesis 2 has crap quality sound. I got lazy with mine and just used my rgb to s-video pcb on it from a scart cable.

I've been wanting for a while now to mod my Sega Genesis 2 into S-video, but I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to electronics, I have been opening junk consoles and looking inside, finding videos on how to disassemble and repair. Its a start but I'll learn how.

Interestingly, the Genesis and the Neo Geo AES use almost the same video encoder in most cases, and the Neo S-video mod is really well documented. In fact, I had trouble with most of the online descriptions of the Neo mod because it's worded for non-technical people, and I was expecting an abstract circuit diagram. Applying the Neo mod to a Genesis is an excellent place to learn, IMO.
