Here's the floppy disk set that came with my Mega CD dev unit. Simply use WinImage to write the data to new floppies. SNASM2 Mega CD Version 2.01 Cross Products SN Server 1.8 SNASM2 32X Disk 1 of 2 SNASM2 32X Disk 2 of 2 Hope someone else out there finds them useful. Enjoy! :smile-new:
MEGA says I need Flash to download files, but I have flash! It also said my browser was old and no good, but its the very latest Firefox. Please make some mirrors elsewhere... thanks.
Go figure! Technology just can't keep up with itself! Mirrors! Cross Products SN Server 1.8 SNASM2 32X Disk 1 of 2 SNASM2 32X Disk 2 of 2 SNASM2 Mega CD Version 2.01 Edit: Mega seems to be in bed with Google... Didn't like my Safari either! But Chrome has no complaints... pffft!
Thanks! That worked fine. Very strange about the browser choice, but I imagine they'll probably get a bunch of complaints and change it quick enough.
Google must be lining their pockets with gold bars then! :wink-new: If they aren't in bed, it's the gold bar incentive scheme.
In case people were wondering, the MegaCD disk just has the tools - no special includes or examples. The 32X disks have the tools, includes, and an example. The 32X devkit floating around the web has more, but having these disks is good for completeness and history.
Ah thanks for the heads up Chilly! IE is up to version 10? Damn I really have lost touch with the Windows side of things... oh well! :biggrin-new:
Your timing is perfect! I've just finished setting up a Win95 PC to get my Cross Products kit working, and one of the disks won't read. Thank you so much!
Is yours up and running, by the way? Still waiting on a SCSI cable, getting impatient! I'd love to hear some success stories.
No worries everyone, glad people are able to use some of the software! :encouragement: I'm still waiting on the second shipment of mine which has the cards and most of the PC. It's just a regular, yet cool looking Mega CD at the moment. Will probably make a post when it does get up and running though, should be quite a learning curve for me.
Awesome! I'll make a blog post when I have mine running. Do you have the 32x kit too, or just the disks for it?
Just the disks for it as far as I can tell, I'd guess the 32X dev unit would pop out of the cartridge slot on the Mega Drive, right?
Was there anything the SNASM2 interface wasn't used with? :victorious: I don't have any but probably should start collecting the software for all the development systems. Anyone know a good place that already has most of / all the software?
Here's an extensive list of Saturn tools and manuals to get you started: http://koti.kapsi.fi/~antime/sega/docs.html
