Sega Mega Tech Region Unlock

Hi guys,

After some recent success with making an adapter to play megadrive carts on the mega tech system, I wonder if I can take it a step further?

Do you think It's possible to region unlock the mega tech mother board?

Has anyone done this before?

I guess I'd try and follow a megadrive region switch mod.

 

I can see on this motherboard one of the dip switches can flip between Japan and Europe, but it doesn't appear to change anything.

I'll look again later to find those jumpers Jp1-Jp4, if it has them??

 

The dip switch setting japanese/europe changes the games language, for example on the game ghouls and ghosts the game title changes into unreadable japanese(I think it's japanese).

I pulled the motherboard out but can't see the jumpers associated with a megadrive region unlock mod, I guess if I ever come across the schematics I could try.

 

As raygallyer said, you can choose language with switch 2 on dipswitch 3. I´m working on various mods for the Mega-tech board and as son I finish them I´ll make a tutorial, including how to set the board to 50/60Hz.
