    Looks like a standard PAL unit to me.

    It is an asian multimega, but before you get exciting although it will play most japanese cartridges it was 50hz and PAL, so region locked games won't work. Singapore using PAL B/G and using the UK power system.

    ALthough he says it is NTSC, this might be a self done mod and there is no way to check to see if the CD part was modded.

    Indeed but a quick check on the MK code on the bottom of the machine shows it to be asian, and a closer look at the cartridge slot will show you that it doesn't have the notches of the euro version.

    Yeah you're right, funny at first I thought it might be an import, or something some guy brought from a trip to europe.

    hi need some help fix the power board test the cd rom board with my cdx system booted games fine put it back in my asia multi mega 50hz jap no sonic background its a 1994 bios not a 1993 bios will not boot pal games usa game i did burn a jap game will not work i think its the bios i tested the cd board with laser and boot games

    You should try and dump that BIOS if its not already available :nod:

    I will have to dump this bios asap
    i dont have the sop tools i will take it to a mates house that haves all the dumping tool i need.
    As for this console will not boot in any mega cd game at all just say it a music cd .
    the cd board was tested on a sega cdx system.
    and booted games so its the bios.
    I cant even get in the ram part.
    the jumper setting could be wrong could some people have a look.

    most of our sega megadrive were Pal sets i remember. The other time there were nt officially launch. So we tend to get NTSC/UC stuff coz they were in English and there are games that were banned here.

    ok as for the bios will be dumped next week guys i dont know if some one could get this to work on a emulator as i took out the bios chip what region is asian games please ?
