Sorry I couldn't think of a better place to put this thread at. Anyways so there's a game for the Sega Naomi that i do not think ever got copied rom wise. Specifically Mamorukun Has Been Cursed. The game is already hard enough to find as it is and it was released for the arcade system on a cart back in 08. In 2011 it was ported to PSN in North America. Its also on xbox and such. Its pretty fun but I'm surprised it never got ripped. I personally don't have a physical copy of the game aside from the PSN release. I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas about where it might be if it was ripped or what. I think I heard from someone at one point in time saying that ripping rom carts is a tedious process on the Naomi.

I do plan on picking up a cart at some point in my life i saw one for sale like a year ago and that was it. If i ever did find one i might be willing to lend it to someone to rip off and make public. For preservation ofc.

Is this the game you are talking about?

It looks almost like "Mamonoro" is the same thing as "Mamorukun Has Been Cursed"

Mamonoro rom can easily be found via google search.

Yeah its a super fun game. Update time i did find it but its a direct rom dump (not sure what else to call it) which will work with mame but actually its in a non working state as you might know mame does a horrible job with naomi games for the most part. Aside from that i suppose ill have to search for a physical cartridge. My problem was i was googling the wrong name for the game. You have to use the more politically accurate name Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! lol. Since the format is so raw i cant exactly test it on say nullDC because i dont know how to convert the 5 bin files for the 4 chips and the one key to a single .bin file that an emulator like null dc can use. It would be neat to see if it would work better on an emulator that actually handles Naomi games well lol. The problem with the game on mame is that it will not render in game graphics at all. aside from the overlay graphics and the loading screen logo overlay. Then it locks up at the attraction video. Oh well. Still a great game.

Well, let's see. You're REQUESTING a FILE.... how about the file requests section? Which is where this is going.

That won't help at all, only a limited amount of NAOMI games support the Dreamcast controller. This adapter shown in the video is useful for those who want to connect their VMU's to the NAOMI (some games support this), play keyboard games (typing of the dead, lupin).

Some Japanese arcade cabinets had Dreamcast controller ports in them so you could bring your controller, rumble pack, and vmu with you, unlock contents in the arcade version and bring them back to the home version. Or in the case or Moero! Justice Gakuen you make a custom character in the board game move and can play as that character in the arcade version. Unfortunately, most game that support this will either need Japanese bios or Arcade Mod Bios set to Japan mode.
