So I got this Nomad here that had a botched cap job. As I'm cleaning up a fresh install of new caps I noticed C215 was missing. Compared it to my other Nomads and they are present there.

Does anybody know the value to this SMD cap? Or any pointers on how to measure the value on the ones I already have?

Just confirming it worked. Play tested for over an hour and no issues so far. Thanks again!

Did it have any impact on function whatsoever?

Sega wasn't the most consistent in manufacturing... I wouldn't be surprised if later revisions lacked a cap or two that the board still had traces for.

Sorry I wouldn't know. I replaced it before I even added any power to the system. It was in bad shape because of a previous "tech" doing a recap so I didn't want to take any chances.

The cap is in series with the signal. Without it being present, the signal wont get to the chip. So yes it's required
