Sega Nomad Region / NTSC / PAL Mod with LED help!

I ran across a video, from 2008, showing a Sega Nomad Region and PAL/NTSC mod with an LED installed that would change color based on the region. Does it require a PIC micro-controller and what are the solder points? I can't find any information on it and emailed the website to see if they sell a kit but haven't received any response. Has anyone done this with the LED mod?

Yes it's looks like it's the same mod as a regular Megadrive.

So yes, you have to use a PIC 16F630, a bi color LED and wire to the JP1/2 and 3/4 and you could either follow the tutorial of dForce3000 or Mmmonkey.

Thank you so much, RealPheonix, for pointing me in the right direction! This is exactly what I was looking for, very well written/documented and easy to follow. I believe I'm going to go with this Mod and skip the LED/PIC Mod for now, as this accomplishes the same thing, until I have more experience.
