Today I received very nice PCB. Will post progress, tear down and interesting pictures here. It has the same issue as the other newer games, don't work without online. Picture of PCB: dropbox.com/s/lf5ug4dl89pwsb6/2016-08-23%2018.01.49.jpg?dl=0
Seeing your track record you'll surely get this up and running, looking forward to it Now if only you would get ahold of a Border Break set!
You mean two Border Break cabinets, like the ones i have on my game room ?? Intro extracted from the Game.
Well i payed like 5800 Euros fo both cabinets, shipped to my door. But they arrived without the keychip, because that game is renting only and once operator ends his contract with Sega, he must return it. And the game is encripted with AES 128, so without the keychip is near imposible to decrypt it. But i got the keychip dumped by a friend in Japan, long story
This was my favourite game, until it stopped being available at the nearby arcades. Thanks for being willing to share your progress! Project DIVA Arcade will allow games to be played if it cannot connect to the DIVA.NET, but the user's profile will not be loaded and updated. I do not work on arcade systems (I.e I am not an expert), but I have seen some of them boot up when I still frequently went for games in 2012. They seem to connect to the SEGA servers to check for updates at boot.
I'm honestly looking forward to you giving progress on getting this game up and running. I've been trying to find technical info regarding the machine itself, and how to dump game data from it, but have had no prevail. Reminds me of one time that I saw two install discs for Future Tone up on Yahoo Auctions for $28. The only downside is that it didn't come with the encryption key.
