Hot. I'm wondering with the Intel/Nvidia setup what would be the likely console do you think these games will be ported too or do you think we'll see some multi-platform action. Is it me or the Lindbergh setup seems like the most reasonable Next-gen setup one could make a console off of.
Yeah a home version seems easy enough... no exotic hardware unlike 360 or PS3, just plain old PC hardware
Sega's booth wasn't all that. It wasn't bad by a stretch, but the most popular game at the show was ESPGaluda II. It consistently had a 45-60 minute wait with 6 cabs, and nobody explaining the game. Very impressive for a sprite-based game in a 3D world. Psi-Phi requires a PHD in physics to play, so they had someone explaining it (a scantily clad girl, nonetheless) at each cab... seemed to take a while, and people still couldn't do shit. The 4 on 4 Gundam game had a nice little 90 minute line, but due to the learning curve, there was an explanation before each go. VF5 had a very lame video only. No demo, and not even any in-game footage. THe most noteable change is that Lau is noticeably older (gray hair). The rest... the polycount doesn't look that amazing over the three version of VF4. The best things at the Sega booth were: Metal Slug 6 and Under Defeat -- neither of them Sega games, but both playable.
It was on the video screen... I might've gotten it on video, but I can't capture it until I get home (next week).
Was the sprite animation good? I assumed from screenies and who the developer is that they will be GGX quality. How did the gameplay look? Hopefully a PS2 port will be in the works as I doubt I'll be seeing any machines in Australia
