Hi AmiBob, When I see a good condition copy of sonic 3 I will get it. I normaly rely on what I find at car-bootfairs and places like that I dont use e-bay that often because I prefer to pay and get what i want then and there. I have noted recently that it is getting harder to find more things this way, and that e-bay will be more like my only chiose.
Yea I know what you mean :-( All the eBay sharks are at car boot sales now, snapping up all the consoles pretty quickly....seems to have really become a problem especially in the last few months.
Sorry if I'm seeming ignorant here, but what is a "car boot sale"? Is it something like a flea market here in the US?
Yea car boot sales are just like flea markets I suppose. Normally involves people loading their car up with all the crap they don't want, driving into a field early sunday morning with 100 or so others, putting the crap on a table and selling it. Then the people who bought it realise its crap, so they go to a car boot sale to sell it........*repeat until bored*
Yep, car boot sale =~ flea market. People bring cars fulled with junk, set up a table and sell said junk
Ok, I have added more games to the collection, about another 30 including Panzer dragoon Saga. also had a reorganise. removed from view the cdr games (for backup and emulation perposes only) to gain more space, and made the display look more interesting overall. I will post more pics when i get home from work.
Panzer Dragoon Saga is quite rare in the uk. But is much easier to get a copy of than somthing like "Radent Silver Gun" from japan. I also have a mint condition copy of Burning Rangers, thats rathr rare. I have the new pics ready. I am proud to say I have 321 sega games now. 96 of them are for Dreamcast, I hape to got to 100 this weekend.
You are missing the light off the top of your kiosk/pod, but you have both controller cages, mine has one missing... my letters are also peeling in exactly the same place, so must be a design fault. I must say though, very nice restoration job!
That Light looks good. I have seen pics in sega mags of the kiosk with the light. The previos owner had the unit in a pub (thats why some letters were picked off) then they got an x-box pod and sent the dreamcast down to the bacement. thats where my dad found it when he came to service the fire alarms. he payed £20 for it and got it home in his van. It came with console, controlers and screen. Also a pre-production copy of Crazy Taxi2. The light might have been removed to fit below the low seeling, I did call then later but they could not find the top light.
£20 including the screen is an awesome price, I need to find a metal fabricator who can build me another cage for the pads. I wouldn't want to try it myself, I want it looking reasonably authentic.
