I can't say that I've got the Sega Puzzle Pack, but since I'm more a collector of Saturn and Dreamcast era titles it's not really of interest to me, anyway.
I've tentatively added Worldwide Soccer '98 based on the information found at Sega's official Japanese page (http://sega.jp/pc/wws98/), but I'm not sure yet if this was just a localised version of SWWS Championship or a completely separate game. Because of this, I'll consider it the former - unless someone can prove otherwise, that is! Also, it would be great if someone could provide a copy of this rarity for the sake of a comparison... I presume it's technically abandonware by now, yes?
I think the 98 edition used Direct3D, whereas the original was DirectDraw, but I'm not sure 98 was released outside of Japan. I've uploaded the Orchid Righteous 3D driver disc that contains Sega Rally Direct3D if anyone wants a copy of this curio. Not sure I can post links in here though, PM me if you want to know where to find it (it's a Nero .nrg rip though).
Since no one else has mentioned it I'll link to these threads. http://board.sonicstadium.org/topic/9613-a-little-help-with-sonic-r/ http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=13465 Might be worth noting in your list that there are a couple of different versions of Sonic R for PC floating around. Some that have Music and others that have had it deliberately removed (allegedly, either way it's not there).
I know a bit about that. The Xplosiv budget re-release version was badly made and was missing the CD audio. I contacted them at the time and they sent me a new CD with the audio tracks intact! So the version with no music was simply a production error.
There was absolutely nothing "deliberate" about the missing audio in Sonic R on the Xplosiv label, and the game certainly wasn't modified to ignore music tracks. From what I can gather on the subject, this problem was caused by a simple mastering error - well, it is a budget label we're talking about. If you're still not convinced, just create a backup of an affected copy with the soundtrack restored... would anyone really be surprised if I told you it (supposedly*) works as expected? Deliberate, indeed! *I've not actually tested this myself, but it makes sense the portion of code looking for Red Book data is still present if the patch disabling the need for the disc to be in while playing that's circulating out there allows you to run your own CDs in the background.
