Yesterday I browsed the contents of this disc, and I thought it was interesting enough to do a little piece about. You see, Applix was kind enough to place a load of offline content on it as well! You can choose between two things; The Toyota part (which leads to a museum with a car database complete with pictures) or the disc contents which is the Sega Japan 1996 homepage (!) , the Sonic team 1996 homepage(!!) , the AM2 1996 homepage (!!!) and various other pages including the Hudsonsoft page. Because all disc content is on the disc as plain html and gif/jpg images the complete disc can be browsed on any PC! ^The first selection screen. ^Very nice, very nice indeed! ^More ^Complete with NiGHTS subpages, downloads, Sonic Museum etc! ^Complete with all subpages, downloads etc I'm thinking about uploading these html files somewhere so they can be browsed just like they were back in the day. It's a lovely bunch of media. *DONT RIP OFF THE IMAGES!*
Yeah, my disc has them too but its a different pack to yours. Mine is just the disc in a normal CD case It looks like you need a Japanese font on your PC to view the text. Yakumo
I had the same problem with japanese and korean text, in IE (assuming you are using it) goto View->Encoding and change to auto select. :-D
Yup, and if even that doesn't work, there's this plugin called "applocale", that "localises" foreign character sets, so you can see them on your system.
I might be getting excited over nothing here, but that is a Saturn browser, right? In the "Daily Virtua Fighter" section is a page for Virtua Fighter 3, right? Could this be something to do with the unreleased console version, perhaps? After all, if Fighters Megamix is listed then it's not as if only arcade titles are being covered. Then again, I probably am just getting excited over nothing. Oh, well...
Yakumo, could you tell us the serial number of your disc ? Or could you post a picture of it ? Thanks.
it's on my site. Here's a direct link to that page - http://www.segagagadomain.com/saturn7/ssinternetvol1.htm Site link - http://www.segagagadomain.com Yakumo
