    Hello guys,

It's been so long since I repaired my old saturn, it recently started skipping audio and FMV's.
Otherwise games still load fine and CD music plays ok as well.

I can't really remember but, is it a Lens problem or CD-motor drive problem ?
I'm planing to repair it but need to make sure what is the culprit. Any ideas ?

    Thanks. :)

Well I noticed Puzzle Fighter and Digital Dance mix skip. Also the Other day Burning rangers durning the FMV.
    The discs are flawless btw.

So you think it's a Lens issue ?

    Update:

Today I just received a replacement laser. I was concerned since it was Optima7 instead of the 15 or 6S but anyway
I decided to give it a shot, lo and behold it works ! Not only that it, everything is noticeably faster. (Loading,FMV etc)
Compared to my other JPN Model-2 and Victor2. My Saturn is a Japanese Model-1 btw.

Now about that warm PSU... :/

i think Puzzle fighter did had some micro FMV amongst the usual sprite sequances, and a redbook track that is played when you "finish" the game. this is what i remember since years ago, might be wrong :p
