Hi guys, I basically reflowed that pin a couple of times and the mod seemed to be working again for a short while. Also interestingly, it always seemed to start working again once the machine had reached a warm/hot temp which is why I thought it has cracked solder somewhere...

Could pin 2 on that chip play a role? I dunno, just a stab in the dark.

Bad mate, I've decided its going to be sent off to you, so nice one for the kind offer.

don't want to butcher this mod any more than it already has been...

Also, thanks for the info Druid!

Edit: Druid, do you mean it just involves a ground wire somewhere else on the board??

Also when this connection was reflowed the console switched 50/60hz correctly (as you know) but the machine also reads 'NTSC' in the BIOS when in US/JP mode as well, which it isn't doing now, but was doing after I reflowed the solder on that pin.

I'll have a look at the board as soon as I can in about an hour. Not sure what pins/board locations you're talking about at the mo as I have fuck all knowlege of the saturn main board itself. I'll de case the board entirely and take some snaps of both sides so you can see properly!
