Just to say the yearly C4 Saturn dev contest organized by Rockin'-B is over and all results were published today, you can find them here : http://www.rockin-b.de/c4/2007/results.html I'm sure Saturn fans will enjoy the entries.
Thanks for the link. I kinda feel bad for the so called "Saturn Scene". 6 entries. Two unplayable, 1 non game, and 1 ... uh ... RPG combat. The only notable entries being a Poser 3D adventure game, and an arkanoid clone. Wowza.
Sure the Saturn scene community is low but everybody who wants to join the community is welcome. It's quite hard to find time to submit a great entry, that's why many people gave up before submitting something. Some pictures made by Rockin'-B
Well, it is nice to see support for the console in the homebrew scene still. I think it isn't too bad a turnout, number wise. And considering how difficult the Saturn can be to program for, well done to them!
Indeed. He does deserve mad props for going out of his way to make those transfer cables for the compo, and orchestrating it.
I'd say no, at least for gaganoid and sega blur demo. I'm not sure for Rockin'-B entry but i'd say no, it's in 704x512.
I'm going to burn the disc and check em out. Are there actually nice Saturn development tools out there? I'm always interested in older systems you can develop things for.
You can find many stuff on http://www.segaxtreme.net and on http://www.rockin-b.de Sure you're welcome, just tell Rockin'-B you would like to participate to the next contest.
