The upper line says "Analogue Stick". I can't read the kanji due to both resolution and missing skills :p

    Anaroguwaisutitsuku? Analogue Wai Stick?

Kanji is too blurry to read. Although the last Kanji is Sen or 1 Thousand.

Looks like a Saturn Analogue Pad in a custom joystick box.

It says Sega Enterprises, I do believe.

Ahh, so the other one surfaces. Wondered when I'd see that again! Although.... I could've sworn it had the ball on it last time....

    *EDIT*

I dunno what you guys are reading, but my one says:

    アナログジヨイスチイツク

    or

    anarogu jioisutiishiku

It says - analogue joystick. Is there no Japanese word for that? Always made me wonder.....

The Kanji part is "kanri bukken" - inventory item maybe?

    Is that a prototype then?

Allegedly, yes. There are at least two of them. I have one, the other came initially from the same Sega source and was sold to a collector - possibly BuyAtari?

Polished to a shine and it would look like a possible production model.

I forget where it came form. I saw one sell in the 300 range on ebay but when I tried it was no-go. Save for the next 20 cent day I guess?

/me goes off to purchase some sheet aluminium, a second hand nights pad, an industrial analogue joystick, some black buttons and to borrow a Japanese dyno labeler.

    Thats almost worth the effort.

If you want to do that make Vectrex sticks. You can sell a ton of those.

Haha! I even know a small electronics store that stocked old analogue sticks of the Vectrex era ;)

Yours has that little bit of plastic on the bottom thing that mine doesn't, but still seems to be missing the ball. Mine looks like it snapped off, does yours?
