As far as I'm aware they don't have harddrives inside to contain anything interesting. Even if they did it's far more likely to contain something mundane.

There are no harddrives on those. That one doesn't even power on.

OP's post reads more like a poorly conceived advertisement for an auction than anything honestly. Though not a very well exceuted attempt at subterfuge with the Sonic Xtreme bit. Since we have a member's auction thread this would be a great way to get the attention of mods.

But speculation is what it is.

No hard drive, so nothing on it. It's the Rev A, which was buggy and, as said, it's broken so not worth this much. And Saturn dev kits turn up all the time.

Please keep eBay links to the eBay thread.

I only saw it this year, but it certainly has been a while. I would have bought it if it were, say, $20 - although shipping would have been a killer. It's not worth $200 in non-working condition with no details.

mate being at the end of world, the shipping will be giant killer - I suspect the shippng charge might be bigger than the console itself...

Two words - last one is off. Choose your own first one :p

I would seriously hate to think how much my Saturn dev gear would cost to ship now. The debug unit from Lawrence in Japan was somewhere in the region of $150-200 shipping. About 10 years ago.

You were ripped off. I'll be shipping a Saturn Dev unit tomorrow and it will cost less than 100 dollars using EMS

they still do EMS in Japan?
over here we no longer have EMS to ship.
and the weight and other restriction is a joke...
probably why I stopped selling on eBay coz often the shipping charges were almost 50% or almost 90% of sold item price...

Yeah, EMS is very popular in Asia and cheaper than airmail once you reach something like 5kg. Very odd when it's faster and insured while airmail is not.
