Sega saturn hangs on the splash screen.

Im attempting to boot Sonic Xtreme on my saturn. Its model 2. I have taped the switch so that the cd spins without the lid being shut. Put the copy in the tray first and set it going. Its spins the logo gets about 1/4 of the way through and it freezes but only when there is a copy in.

If anybody would like to give me a tutorial on how to use the multiple saturn emulators I'd be happy to use those.

 

The video im following says to put the copied disk in first and let it get to the splash screen with that
