I just purchased a Japanese Sega Saturn unit, a HST-3200 - one of the first of it's kind, if I'm not mistaken. While the machine boots to the BIOS and CD Player menu fine and such, the actual spindle of the disc drive where the disc is supposed to snap onto is missing, thus I can't actually start up any software/Music CDs. Essentially, I'm wondering if there's anything I can use as a temporary replacement, or if not - what part do I need to be on the lookout for? Thanks in advance.~
That's what I had assumed. However, I've tried taking out a spindle from an old "fat" PS1, but the end result was still too shallow to catch any disc once inserted into the Saturn.
Hi guys i have a spare part if you want to pay for shipping for the part. I always have scrap Saturn parts around well due to them psus that dies out even after replacing the caps.
