I've recently come into possession of a Sega Saturn Memory Card Plus. Upon booting the Model 2 system up and reaching the bios screen, I attempted to enter the system memory manager to check the contents of the card. Black screen, completely frozen. Without the card, the system opens up the menu fine. I will check if it does the same on my Model 1 tonight. Anybody know anything regarding this issue? I've heard these cards are dodgy, but I wasn't sure if there was anything I could do to fix the card. Here's a picture of said card. http://www.classicgameroom.com/images/Performance Memory Card Plus - Sega Saturn.jpg Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Try cleaning the contacts on the card and make sure the slot is clean, those things were badly made, I'm suprised my GameShark still works, has 16 year old saves on it from when I was a kid. If you clean contacts and it still does it and you REALLY want it to work, try flowing the board with a heat gun, datel products for me have always had sub-par soldering quality
