hey everyone, glad to be back here! So I recently moved and tried to hook up my sega Saturn model 1 and it is not working. It was functioning perfectly before the move. No physical damage occurred during the move. The power light comes on, but nothing happens. I hooked up my other game systems to my display and xrgb mini and they work without issues, so I'm certain it's the Saturn. Where should I start? I have a Rhea installed in it. I also have a multimeter, just no idea of where I should even begin. Please help me.....

hi Olschool , maybe the Rhea isn't making good connections due to going through a move try reseating the ribbon cables. Also i have seen on Youtube 1 or 2 videos of someone replacing Caps when there is no video but i wouldn't do that just yet there may be a simpler fix.

I had to recap a Saturn recently - I believe it was a model one, but I'd have to recheck.
Had the same symptoms - Power, but no video or sound.

Looking at my photos, the caps were CE16, CE20, CE21, CE22, and CE37. They were quite clearly leaking electrolyte and had failed.
It took some patience to remove the caps and keep the pads intact, but installing replacements was fairly easy. I went with radial rather than SMD caps.

Well guys, I tore it apart and reassembled it, probably over half a dozen times. It didn't work, until this last time I tore it apart. Now it is working again. So, I'm not sure what was the issue even. The good news is it's working again now! I'm going to assume it was the ribbon cable needed to be reseated. You would think it would've worked one of the other 5 times I reassembled it. I guess not:confused:
