Sega Saturn Model 1 video issues

When I turn my model 1 sega saturn on, the only thing on the screen is a bunch of bars of color. Sometimes it goes to the main menu but the background is flashing green.

 

Check R/G/B connections in cable and on motherboard:

Nothing is visibly wrong with it. RF and AV cable works just fine on 3 other Saturns.

 

So maybe dry joints under GPU or in AV connector. Try to heat RGB AV Connector solder points on MB.

If I heat them up or resolder them I get different colors depending on which I do more. Not sure how to explain. Right now I'm getting 3 different color bars than before and the menu background is bright blue instead of green before. Not sure what the deal is.

 

I had to make sure it wasn't just the AV connector so I went the extra mile to wire everything up to a known working AV connector from a junked Saturn.



It didn't really help.

 

Well I've concluded that it must have been broken by USPS because when I received it in the mail, the box was tattered and the seller didn't use packaging. I got a refund.
