Sega Saturn Not showing polygons

I have a saturn model 2 usa, when the system boots it doesn't show the saturn logo and when playing virtua fighter the characters are invisible. I know the laser is good on it as it at least loads the games. Im thinking is it better to sell this on evilbay for parts or to try and fix it? And has anyone else had this problem?

 

You probably got a fault vdp1...

 

Yeah, you could try to reflow the solder on the VDP or use the system for spare parts.

 

Since they use a QFP chip and not that damn BGA rubbish, you can easily fix it!

Here you can drag solder all the pins.



BGA (Ball-Grid-Array)
Here you may not.

BGA isnt rubbish. Just because something cant easily be repaired doesnt make it rubbish.

 

Under that logic your liver must be rubbish because it can't easily be repaired. Probably should throw it out then right?
