Hello,as you can see I am new here.I am from Coruña,Galicia ,Spain. Please excuse me if I have a bad english.

My Saturn PAL model 2 has a little problem, when I turn it on,the tv detect it ,but there isn´t any image, only black screen,I have only the sound. Before write this thread I have read another identical case in this forum and one possible solution was to change four capacitators in the motherboard.

I am not very good at "electrical" skills, could you tell me where are those capacitators or how can I recognize them? Do you know some another possibility?

    *The cd unit works fine
    *the power light works too
*the sound as I said works good

    lot of thanks!

Try doing an RGB mod on it, it bypasses those capacitors anyway.

rgb mod?? It is a pal saturn ,I usually connect her with a rgb scart.

    But thanks friend:thumbsup:

edit: if you are referring to a RCA mod i did it! but the result was the same (even with a short circuited included)

    Um, all Saturns output RGB?!

    4V... 6V... doesn't matter. It's a tolerance.

If you don't feel competent to do the fix, find someone who will. Either raylyd or myself would be happy to help, I'm sure... but I believe we're both in the UK. Not really worth it in shipping fees. To be honest, if you can't do it yourself (or find a friend who can for nothing or cheaply), it's probably cheaper to pick up another Saturn.
