    hi everyone,
i have a modified pal saturn (bios free + 50/60 hertz switch) and i am having some trouble in game, the console would first stop playing any music or background sound and later start to slowdown and/ or freeze.

i've already ruled out the power supply, when it starts to freeze, i checked with multimeter the 9v 5v and 3.3v, and it is just fine. in case, i swapped with another one and same problem occurs.

has anyone any idea on what s going on? the ram or cpu? i ve read somewhere it could be a cap near the AV output.. can someone confirm?

    thanks for insight!

Not familiar with the bios free mod, but I once had a mod chip crap out on me and it made the console freeze. I removed the modchip and console worked fine.

Mine was regular US model with the sole addition of a Modchip from Racketboy.
The modchip worked well for one week then it failed.
I was sent a replacement which works fine since.

ok well... it didn t solve much the problem, as it came back quickly. i ve checked and changed the bios, game starts, after a few minutes or second, loose sound and starts freezing.

does anyone know the right value for laser calibration? it might be problem. thanks a lot!
