Hello. I am having problems with my Saturn RGB signal. It was working from more than a year, but now looks like the signal is weak, and after some seconds, the image just disappear.

My setup is Saturn + RGB cable from retrogamingcables + Framemeister.

    I did some tests:
    - I tried to use a normal composite cable, and its works.
    - I tested another Saturn with the same setup (RGB + framemeinster) and its works.

So, looks like the cable, framemeinster and TV are fine. And once the composite cable is working too, the problem looks like be the RGB signal.

Any Ideas what I could do to fix it?

Looks like the image is fading rather than tearing so it might point towards the caps on the RGB lines rather than a CSYNC issue. I may be wrong, perhaps someone with experience of this on saturns can shed more light (no pun intended).

It would be a first for me to see faulty caps in a Saturn. Can happen I guess. Perhaps an earthing issue with the video socket but its still hard to tell.
Is it a version 1 or 2 Saturn? also the other Saturn you tested with the same config, is it the same version?

I did read that some model 2 Saturn's need 470 ohm resistor and 220uF capacitor on each colour line.... But yours was working fine for ages as it was.

    Hello again.

The problem Saturn is a TecToy Oval buttons with 21 pin (actually is the same as a NTSC model, but its PAL-M). But once I am using RGB, this should be not a problem. And as I said, it was working with RGB for at least 1 year. Is it possible to a capacitor be the problem only with RGB once the composite is normal?

The second Saturn that is working is a Japanese Gray one.

I read that could be the 5v signal that was weak, but I used a multimeter and the value was 5.07v.
My second guess was about the cable itself. But its working nice on the second Saturn.
I have access to a third Saturn that is a American model 1. I will try to test it tonigth.

    Just a update.
I sent a email to Retrogameingcables asking if they know something about it. Lets see if they can help.
Bad_Ad84 thanks for your answer. Once this involve changes in the hardware, and the problems isn't exactly the same, I will search a little more before try this. But looks like its related.

Hello. Just a update for future reference.
I got another cable from retrogamingcables, and after 3 months (yes... 3!) the cable arrived.
Looks like the problem was the cable. Yesterday I played for around 30min and everything looks ok.
So problem solved (at least for now).
