New homebrew cartridge for Sega Saturn.

    1. In-game save support on SD card.
"In-game", so saves larger than internal backup memory (RPGs, Dezaemon 2, etc) are supported :)
And you don't need to delete/copy saves to internal memory before changing game.

    2. Pseudo Saturn exploit
Plays games on CD-R without the need to hardmod your Saturn.
Some games are incompatible. (Incomplete) compatibility list can be found here : http://ppcenter.webou.net/pskai/compat/

    3. Region free
No longer need to region-patch your games : firmware does it for you :)
This is not a frequency switch feature, so some games optimized for NTSC may not work well on PAL systems, and vice-versa.

    4. Play some (not all) homebrew games

Note : this is not an everdrive cartridge ! It won't play iso/bin&cue/ccd/whatever !
And cartridge RAM is not available, so the few games requiring RAM/ROM cartridge won't work.

Cartridge uses Pseudo Saturn Kai firmware, and firmware can be re-flashed.
(Firmware sources (GPL) and installer will be available for download soon)

Would there be a way to disable the Pseudo Saturn feature so as the make the cart more streamlined when used in conjunction with a Rhea/Phoebe unit?

I am the PCB designer and firmware main programmer of this cartridge.

One line answer : probably (this is an homebrew project, I can't guarantee everything) in a future firmware revision, compatible with this cartridge.

Detailed answer : First, it is not possible to disable Pseudo Saturn and keep only memory cart feature, because backup memory available in this cartridge is a software hack that uses Pseudo Saturn in order to work. Since Pseudo Saturn loads original games with basically no problem, ODE games would also do so.

Then, rmenu stub is actually available in firmware sources : this stub loads and displays game list from rmenu iso file ... however this feature is currently disabled because of the lack of documentation regarding rhea/phoebe game selection API.
In the future, and if rhea/phoebe make it possible, I would also like to automatically generate game list without even having to use rmenu.

Edit : there's no contact form in Deunan's homepage (no, I won't contact him by commenting unrelated article on his blog) ... if somebody knowing his email address can contact him about adding such feature to Pseudo Saturn Kai, that would be great.
Deunan can reach me from this page.
I personally would be happy to finish this feature, since it's 80% of the job on Pseudo Saturn Kai side is done.
