I live n a town of just 1500 people, but when my wife decided to buy me a Saturn recently she was able to source a mint in box launch unit within a mile of our house. Either she was very lucky, or they are just not that rare. I paid $10 from a used game store for my previous unit, a loose model 2 with just a composite cable. FWIW I was also an early adopter, I had a Saturn in 1995, bought it just for SFA2.
Yeah, sorry about that. Running the store was taking up way too much time. There were many days I'd get home from work then spend the whole evening sorting out store orders. I had no life at that point but did make some good money so it's not all bad. Buyers got way better deals and much better quality than shopping on Ebay and I could grow my collection with the money I made.
I seem to recall an English translation patch for Segagaga being worked on a few years back... I definitely remember the game's video files having to be subbed, and there might even have been screenshots at the "official" site, but I've no idea if this project was ever completed.
Segagaga is actually being continued right now! as the translator made a huge come back from the scene finally! Thank god lol so far the intro has be translated as you can watch it via YouTube.
oh disc read errors on an emulator? lol unless running the game through Chankast emulator via Disc emulation mode w/ Bios i assume. Great news i've found the site of the translator who's picking it back up here: http://www.adilegian.com/Segagaga/ good stuff so far! btw i'd wonder if he'll do any other Japanese exclusive Dreamcast games soon after he's finished with Segagaga like hopefully deSPIRIA &/or maybe a re-translation of D2 (with everything uncensored!)
Cause the game is full of text and the dudes translating it are doing it out of the love of the game and it takes more than 5 years worth of work on the side to translate it fully I guess.
Understandable. I wasn't actually sure how you could balance work, and your family with all the orders. I found selling a new items at once on eBay to different buyers difficult.
As my significant other would probably tell you, my short term memory is absolutely fried (due to a battle with illness that very nearly killed me about six years ago), yet when it comes to recalling relatively useless information* from years ago about anything to do with gaming especially it seems I'm still as good as ever. Was it really that long ago when the Segagaga translation project started? I'm pleased to see it's still active - clearly those responsible are doing more than just going down the BabelFish route, and I can't wait to play the results of their hard work... let's just hope the currently ongoing Biohazard 1.5 prototype "restoration" by Team I.G.A.S. doesn't take as long. *To this day, I'm able to recite a wealth of cheat codes, including many for obscure titles such as Battle Arena Toshinden Ultimate Revenge Attack, plus the command to make all cars explode in Grand Theft Auto III as if my life depended on this ability, for some reason!
