I bought a new camera and I was taking some pics and playing around in Photoshop. I've always had a thing for skeleton consoles...

    Great photos, looks really professional.
And the unit itself looks really great, not really that fond of transparent consoles but this one looks great.

Yeah, it really is cool! Hadn't figured it'd be brownish like that actually.

I've always liked the simple style and curve of the Saturn and the Skeleton Saturn has always been one I've wanted. (Do I need a third?)
I'd actually call it's color smoke specifically.

I would like to know about the exact contents of the Derby Stallion Saturn :)
Also: are there any differences between "This is Cool" and "Dabista" Saturn except for the missing "This is Cool"-logo on the CD-lid? Maybe more greyish than brownish (like on the pics above)? I pretty much assume that this is just my imagination, but on other pics I consider the Dabista Saturn to be a bit less "colorful".

Furthermore, the contents. Was the Derby Stallion game even included or just some stickers?

Were you able to remove even the smaller particle of dust by hand or used Photoshop/Fireworks to remove that? Doing very close CLEAN pics of electronics have always been my weak point.

I've always wondered... How do you do the white background without getting the foreground items looking like they were cut out of a magazine?

Trenton: A good photographer doesn't need post-production tricks. Using the proper light and background can be enough.

I used Photpshop to remove the lint. I used to try to do it by hand but the camera always picked up stuff I didn't see. I can't remember exactly but I think I removed the background from behind the pics...

The Derby Stallion is supposed to be blue, but it looks more grayish. The game wasn't included, just the system and some Derby Stallion stickers.

Oh, and the controller was the same as for this Saturn. They never made a lighter blue/gray controller for the Derby Stallion.

    Thanks :)
So the color of the actual Derby Stallion console is not different from the one in this thread either?

The DS Console was a blue/green, the controller was clear gray like this console.

Heh, I still have no idea how the picture was done. Did you just put it behind a white background? If not, and you did some exposure trick or something, how do you get it so it doesn't effect the rest of the image?

Awesome photos. Might just make one of those my desktop background.

Also, I too love the skeleton Saturns. ESPECIALLY the "This is Cool" one. In fact, thats the one I use as my primary Saturn.
