Just posting this here because I'd never seen one in such detail before. This is the correct SH-2 POD that fits atop a PGA (pin grid array) socket inside the Sega Saturn Sophia Programming Box. The model number is HS7604EPD70H. I acquired these images from a seller on Tao Bao (see my thread in want to buy if you happen to have one of these PODs; I was too late to purchase this particular item from Tao Bao ). Interesting, the number of Toshiba chips inside given it's a Hitachi product; I'd assumed they were rivals in the chip industry in the 90s. I've highlight the faint Hitachi labelling on the PCB on this upper side view. This POD inserts into a stack of sockets (my own PGA sockets shown in fourth image), which plug into the main board of the Sophia.
