Sega Saturn w/Store Receipt

Every now and then I get something in which has the original store receipt from the original Buyer. That happens to be the case with this Sega Saturn HST-0001 1st edition console that I just opened up today.

The receipt is from November 11 which is the release day for the Saturn in Japan. He bought a console plus Virtua Fighter. I wonder how many other people went to the store that day and bought the exact same setup.

The receipt has been sitting in the box for nearly 15 years....

 

Nice, always love seeing stuff like launch day receipts for consoles and the like as they become more than just some old console from years ago that someone has.

 

thats kinda sad.. Saturn didnt suck so much too be left in a closet for 15 years.
The good part is that there are still mint saturnsXD

 

My Neo Geo had it's receipt too. It was bought at a place called Emerson, in 1991. It was 50k Yen if I remember correctly.

 

I have a Channel F all boxed with the original receipt, sounds daft like the receipt as much as the machine!

 

My Virtua Stick Pro came with a receipt as well. He bought it together w/Virtua Fighter Kids on the 27th of July 1996 - VF Kids was released the day before. I don't know when the VS Pro got released but I guess summer 1996 must be pretty close.

 

I tend to keep all the reciepts for my games.

 

I have a boxed Sega Master System with the receipt pretty cool stuff

 

My NES Deluxe Set still has the receipt in the box. I got it as a birthday gift. My mom told me to hold onto the receipt "in case the console broke and needed to be returned"
Couldn't think of a better place to put the receipt, so I stashed it in the box where it's been all these years since 1987!

 

This will be the next auction special

Not only is the item minty boxed and fresh but the original receipt, got to add another 20% on :lol:

I know somewhere there was a list of all the original launch prices of consoles and some of them were frightening

I think one of the most outrageous was a 3DO from memory
