I got another Saturn since mine is not reading discs and every laser I tried gave a different error. Anyway, this Saturn's internal memory doesn't seem to work or something. I tried 2 new batteries, but the system acts like there are none in the battery holder and saves nothing: the language, clock, or game saves. What could be the cause of this?

Check if the battery holder is soldered well. Mine had a cold solder joint and had to be reheated so that it would make contact.
