I nearly bought one (OK, two! - seperate occasions) but funds were a bit tight at the time. One was fully boxed complete. The other was, well, used. And considering these were installed in love hotels.... umm.... would YOU want a used one?? :noooo: Lawrence at gamesx may or may not still have one, although I think he sold his.
i m surprised Yakumo doesn't own one of these for his Saturn-playing pleasure. I mean a 7-disc changer is just convenient beyond belief. Does it have a special bios?or is the CD-selection mechanism operated with a special circuit/control interface?
They go for a LOT of money, on the few occasions you see them. Cheapest I was offered was around $800 plus shipping from Japan. And as I said, some people think twice about buying used systems that were often used with adult titles. You dunno where they've been!! If you carry on reading Lawrence's article, you'd find your answer ;-)
it's not like your going to get AIDS or something from the machine Besides, you can always clean it with special products , and just to make sure... use a black-light to locate any funky gizm floating around =p
I would imagine the BIOS is different, as the machine is different. The startup sequence is just the same.
Nah, it is just a timer circuit. That is all. Read Lawrence's full article and you'll see ;-) http://nfggames.com/games/SGX/
Wow thats really cool. I cant believe how many variations of the saturn hardware there is. Doesnt this belong in the obscure forum?
This and the Korean Saturn are the only two Saturn models I don't have. Sad thing is I could've bought one for $300 a couple of years ago but decided to buy a second Navi HiSaturn instead. :-(
I've visited a couple of love hotels in the last half a decade and didn't see this one. Although most love hotels will give you entertainment for free, I've yet to see one where playing a game or watching the TV is charged, unless the love hotel policy changed in the last ten years. I've seen N64, Playstation, Super Famicom and even Famicom(!) games units in love hotels but never a Saturn. Although I am sure that in Shibuya one of the love hotels had an advert for a room with the Nintendo Wii in it. Saying that I've always been far too busy to even notice what games are running on the units. ;-)
And now for something unrelated topic: who has the missus who won't mind that thing sitting next to telly? not me for sure... ^ ^
this brings one of the questions I have in my head for quite some time now... why anyone who went to love hotels bother to play these systems - presumably they are there with their partners... -__-;;
I've seen a Victor Saturn in a Love hotel in Kobe. Well, the pad had victor on it but I couldn't see the hardware since it was behind a wooden cover. You had to pay to use that one. Needless to say I didn't. Far better things to be doing than playing games in a Love hotel Slightly off topic, I have Sega Saturn Playboy Karaoke Volume 1 which features full muff shots for all you pervs out there. It was made by Vic-Tokai. Basically it's a glorified Video CD for the Saturn only. You'd think they'd make it MPEG compatible but sadly not. Yakumo
Dude, you touched an old saturn pad? in a love hotel?h: You know that theres a 98% possibility that the guy before you touched his wang&balls before using the pad, right?:lol:
In reality, you could shake hands with a man who has just masturbated. And you wouldn´t notice it, when he has washed hands. So what ever overfloats your boat. Is up to you. Or if you are in a hotel anywhere in the world. You will sometimes find the bible is very sticky at some pages. So as I said. a hotel is a hotel. And people wank alot. So wank or not to wank, that is the question lol ;-) :lol:
I dont really use hotels (mainly for THAT reason) if I need some place to crash I'll just break into a house, kill the inhabitants and leave in the morning... But I wont masturbate there no sir, I'm not some sick bastard:fresh:
