So the laser in my unit was toast. It would crawl on the track and try to read something, but after that it would give up. I tried adjusting it to no avail. Anyway I looked on the laser itself and it said HOP E-1, so I got a replacement HOP E-1 and it doesn't do anything on the track..doesn't even crawl, nothing. (Says HOP-E1 on it) So I received another replacement...does the same thing. I put back the original dead one in there and it still crawled and tried to read, but giving up. So I'm guessing these ones are just not any good? What should be my next step?

Test the lasers, see if perhaps it's a power issue.

Mine arrived broken, laser as well.

    Money down the drain.

Well the laser has power as I can see the red beam from it, but it doesn't move. The motor works too as I tested it.
