SEGA SPORTS branded Sega Genesis information?

This has been posted about on segaage and reddit but I haven't been able to find any more information about it.
I'm guessing it might have been a store kiosk console?
Does anyone remember seeing one of these in the store or have any other info?

That console clearly doesn't have the Sega Sports logo on it though, unlike OP's.

I have a Sega Sports edition Dreamcast

 

I knew about the Dreamcast one. Never knew about the mega drive and genesis... interesting!
