I have an Everdrive firmware Version 4 which was running OS version 9. Today I updated it to OS version 35 and it said it updated correctly. In fact the Ever Drive menues all work but I can no longer read data from the SD card and always get the "sel error 100" message. Any ideas why I'm getting this message? Yakumo
Do you have a Sega CD and 32X attached, with the Sega CD unplugged from power? Odd, but I get this error if the above is true.
i not tested lastes os version with very old firmware, so may be some problems is possible. you can use A+B+C+up to call reserve os and install some more old version, let say v26
Thanks KRIKzz. I'll try that later today. Fingers crossed it will work. @Inx64, I do have a Mega CD attached but it always powered on due to the Mega Drive audio running through it. Thanks for the help guys.
My EDMD was running OS 33 and firmware 12. I updated to OS 35 and it works perfectly. Funny thing is that it shows my firmware as 14 now. I thought the EDMD required a JTAG tool to update the firmware. I did nothing with the firmware. Just updated the OS through built in utility. Feature of the newer EDMD models to update firmware through SD? Assembly date is 06/05/2012.
Kinda confused by that. I don't believe there is a physical way to upgrade without JTAG on the original Everdrive MD. I may be wrong, I didn't design it, but looking at the PCB, it doesn't appear to have a physical way. Might just be a bug i the firmware.
Cart with assembly date 06/05/2012 can not use firm v12, cuz last carts with firm v12 was sold more than year ago.
