So I'm wanting to upgrade my go xbox HDD with a 2 TB HDD I was curious what 2TB SATA drives all of you have used and what your experience were with them as well as the details such as model # or anything useful I can use to help me select a nice SATA drive that works well. Also if it's any use to those giving me suggestions I already purchased a Kingwin SATA to IDE Bridge Board ADP-06 to use for this project.
I just bought a 500GB IDE HDD, seems like the fastest solution available and 500GB should definitely get you a long way. Quote from another forum regarding that adapter: "the Kingwin ones used to be the best, but they changed something about them once they started putting serial numbers on them and now they boot slower and you can't reboot with them". This should be some interesting reading material for you: https://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=612&p=5606
Hmm I'll definitely have to to some digging on this sata adapter business then if they changed something. I'll read the link thanks for the direction. I doubt 500 GB will fit the games I have they are even all ripped and sorted by letter.....I'm kinda looking to build a 1 system to rule them all kinda thing in a console (up to xbox only of course) was planning on running coinops with complete rom sets for all the systems as well as a complete xbox game collection.....not sure how this is all going to work but I've herd of it being done before so it's doable
