Discussion in 'The ASSEMblergames Marketplace' started by turnontheac84, Oct 3, 2005.

  1. Here I have a Sony Playstion 2 debugging station DTL - H30002 S. Along with it I have 2 dual shock controllers, 1 8mb memory card, and a network adapter. (Hard drive can be added to the deal. Anyone really interested in this item will now that this plays DVDRs and backups and demo codes. It plays all regions and burned DVDs without any modifications. Email me for anymore information. And google is another good place for information. Transaction will be in AUD as I am in Canberra, Australia. This has an Australian plug aswell. Make an offer, I would like AUD$600, which is USD$460.

A few handy hints and tips if you want to sell here:
-Contribute to the forum - This does Not mean spamming! In a conversation you know something about, mention what you know. Thats how you become a valuable member of the community here. Start by posting in the introduce yourself thread
-Take a picture of the item with either the forum name or your username
-Since you are a new guy and have no history of sales here, give us some links to show you are trustworthy. These can include
    • eBay
    • Feedback from other forums
    • Members of this forum who can vouch for you as reputable
    - Let us know how you accept payment.
-Telling us google is a good place for information is like saying a toilet is a good place for a dump. We all know google is good for finding information, give us some specific links so a potential buyer can find out more about what he/she is buying
-Give us an estimate on postage to various places

Finally, that price is a bit high. I believe assembler was selling them for about $350 a while back, and that seems to be the going rate. If anyone can correct me, feel free :)

No to mention, claiming that a TEST can play "backups and burned DVDs" is a bit misleading. The TEST units will not play straight copies of retail discs (modded units will play these just fine). TEST units will only boot master discs.

As an FYI, if this has an OZ plug, it's also likely 220V (won't work in the US without a converter) and defaults to PAL video.

Finally, what steadster said is correct. When these units trade on the collector market, they're usually valued at around $350. If you want a premium, you need to be coughing up a PStwo TEST unit. :)

    interesting...
I haven't seen that many Aussie members let alone trying to sell...

Australia uses 240 VAC but I will bet the PSU is 220-240 VAC since SONY would be too lazy to make different PSU for 220VAC and 240 VAC...

turnontheac84: a word of advise mate. Most of us - if not all - here don't like the mention of pirate copies/backups... that's up to the buyer and you'd better off not mention any. Anyone who wants to play backups can easily find out how to go about anyways thanks to internet.. :p
