Hello ! i ran into a serious problem with connecting the Data cable of the DTL-H2510 to the DTL-H2000 card becoz i dont have the cable i only looked at the DTL-H2000 and brought a 68pin female -female LVD cable (yes they exist) from work i connected the one end to the DTL-H2000 card and unassembled the DHL-H2510 drive just to see ..... there is no 68 pin connector on the drive but a 50pin VHD connector ..... i am now guessing such a cable is hard to come buy ;( but still if anyone has one for sale or knows how to make em (pinout?) please get in contact with me ... i thank you
Stupid question: is it the same as a SCSI cable? I only ask since they come in 68-pin to 50-pin varieties so one of them may serve. Whatever you do don't hook it up without checking though ;-) Stone
the 68 pin is a VHD68 ... LVD cable fits ... the 50 pin is the same contact spacing as the 68pin .... 68VHD to 50VHD cable i havent seen these scsi cables (yet) also the cable needes is FEMALE-FEMALE ... so this is another problem i was realy lucky we had a 68-68 female female around but now i see it doesnt FIT ;( ;(
Shit - that's my fault, I just sold VR all my old Sony PS1 dev kits. Should have said. You'll need the external kit. I might still have one, if I do I'll bung it to you FREE of charge as I never gave the internal CDrom a seconds thought... P ;-)
i assume there some more connector card or breakout kit missing i love it here is: DTL-H2000 and the card beneeth thats connected via the very short "i think" 100 pin flat cable so where should an external drive connect?
Yeah, which I totally forgot as I had several boards and sold them all off. Somewhere someone has an external, when they should have had an internal. As I say, my mistake, which I shall rectify. Still a great deal as the external drive I have sent you was worth £70 alone. As far as I am aware everything else other than the video cable is all that is now required for those versions of board, but I ended up with the newer version and abandoned that project - as discussed at point of sale.
who has a DTL-H2010 for me ? PARRIS @Parris: i just want to get this thing working / or at least complete !
