    Hi,

My dads just got a 360 and Im putting it through my LCD TV with a res of 1440 x900. Question is, under output, all I see is 480i, 720p, 1080p.. I asked about rsolutions before and another member showed me a huge list which included 1440 x 900. Is this only with the HDMI or VGA lead?

only VGA needs to have an exact resolution to that of your monitor, not HDMI. The reason being that due to its analog nature, the signal does not have a fixed standard frame and may distort, considering that widescreen monitors are 16:10 and not 16:9 like Teles.

That said, I run mine over VGA and it looks fine at its native resolution, despite having two black borders at all times top and below the image (since it's a 16:9 image on a 16:10 screen)

Meh. I wanted to get it at my TVs res really. Only gonna play it occasionally so Ill stick with the component I suppose! Downscaled 1080p looks super.
