SF II+2 any one?

I dig the life bars and everyone's new look but It just looks like II in 3d now.

what are they going to do to remind us that this is a SF Sequel?

 

Sure looks like a SF2 remake to me.. I'm not surprised though since "going back to your roots" is such a popular marketting model now. Maybe the end roster will only be 8 characters, each with two to three special moves, give them a super this time around and enhance it even further by turning the 6 digital buttons into two analog punch and kick buttons for the sake of simplicity!

This is the first time the entire cast from 1 SF makes it to the sequel.

That's not a good thing

 

I guess I'm weird, but I love the return of the 8 indeed. This is the first time in many years that I'm expecting much from a "SF".

 

Neither is Street Fighter in general.

 

I remember reading back in the day an interview with some Capcom designer where he said the original 8 were iconinc, and that's why thier costumes hadn't changed much across all the games. So in a sense, having the original 8 "grounds" the game in the Street fighter universe.

They would probably get a lot of flack if they didn't include stalwarts like Ryu, Ken, & Chun-Li. Personally I think they should ditch the whole cast except for Ryu, and give us all new characters. But I can see why they would bring back everyone's favorites.

 

As long as Chun-Li is in the game...

 

Ditching everyone gave us 3. But it's not Street Fighter with out Ken and Ryu.

I hope we get a ton of new characters though and all I want is Cammy. She did the booby bounce long before Mai did.

Am I the only one who doesn't love any "SF3"? XD I preferred "SF2" and, specially, the "Alpha" series and how they were played.

 

Alot of people were turned off to SF after II Becasue Super and wouldn't become 3.

Once Alpha came everyone was like BAH FUCK IT

 

Why should they completely recreate the cast? There is no need to reinvent the wheel here. No other beat 'em up game does that.

I think it looks fantastic! I wonder how 3D will be utilised, if it is more than cosmetic.

 

I guess we're used to Street Fighter Recasting with the previous 2 sequels.

I wonder who from other games will show up....

 

If they make a Brazil scenary, i hope they had minds evolved and picture something else than a forest.

As for characters, here's the roster i hope that returns:

All from Super Street Fighter 2 + Adon, Birdie, Charlie, Cody, Guy, Rolento, Sakura, Sodom and Rose from Alpha/Zero series + Sean and Hugo from III

This would make a good mix between SF and Final Fight characters.

New characters would be cool, as long as they aren't lame or too effective.

 

How about a Beach in Rio?
