I tried it on HDLoader, and it doesn't get past the first, strange, loading screen. It says something about failing to load file "noname"

It also crashes when using the warp menu in the PCSX2 emulator

it works perfect if you just play it the normal way though.

 

Try mode 3 in hdloader and can you make a screenshot of the error screen?
Are you using the latest version of pcsx2?

btw- thanks- very interesting.. works well on both test and tool... I see this is more or less the american localized version... are there any other hidden menus other than the instant skip-to boss fights?

The best part about it is I'm quite handy with hacking tools and with gameshark I just might find some earlier code they just simply removed from gameplay but left in the ol archieve for me to re-enable in game. That is unless work kills me first.

 

I still haven't gotten the retail game to ever work with HDLoader. I've even gotten special HDLoader versions that supposedly make it work. All I want to do is not have to put the damn disc in! :lol:

I'm going to snag this now and see if I have the same trouble.

Who can tell the differences with the retail version ?

 

You could try using ESR if you've already managed to install HDLoader it shouldn't be that hard to grab FreeMCBoot with ESR. It lets you play "patched" burns and works pretty well, seems to have more success than HDLoader with many games.

More than 10 pages about the preview disc there....

 

I just read the two pages indicated in the topic, the next pages are rather technical discussions, i'd have preferred a summary of what are the differences..
I'm probably too lazy to read through a dozen of pages to filter the useful (according to me) informations in this preview disc.
