- Silent Hill Australian Playstation Retail Demo (Created on 16.06.1999 03:00:00)

None of these images were dumped by me.
I'm just making them available in one place to safe you the trouble of finding them yourself.

Thanks didn't know about the Russian Proto, are you sure it's not just a hack of a retail release?

I can't guarantee you that it's not a hack, but it looks like an earlier build.
The creation date of the files is 20 days before the final retail build and the file sizes don't match.

One difference that I remember is that the names for some of the locations when loading a save file were cut off in this build.
I don't remember any ingame differences regarding enemy, item placement etc. I don't think there was anything noteworthy here.

This build was floating around as Silent Hill Beta or Silent Hill v1.0 in torrents for many years, but I remember someone ripping it from a Russian pirate disc. No idea where it originated, perhaps it was a press review copy.

I only included it for completeness sake, the earlier Trade Demo also contains the full game and it has several ingame differences which make it much more interesting...

It's definitely an early build, I just compared the load screen names, they match those from the even earlier Trade Demo.
