[Share] Splinter Cell Essentials (PSP) - Not For Resale Version

Hello folks, I own an Austrian "Not For Resale" version of the PSP game Splinter Cell Essentials which is different from the retail release.

It came in a little sleeve:


My German retail disc for comparison:

It's nothing special (and the game was pretty meh, to be honest) but there are minor text differences compared to the retail version.

From my quick check the German ingame texts seem to be identical to the US release, errors and all:
US version was released on March 21, 2006.
EU version was released on April 6, 2006.

Doesn't look like this has been dumped yet, so I figured I should share it:

The image was created with PSP Filer 6.6.
Perhaps somebody will get some enjoyment out of it.

My personal dream is for an original XBOX Splinter Cell proto to turn up which contains the removed Russian chapter, but I guess that will never happen...

I realy tried to like this game back in the PSP days, but the controls were absolute BS because of the missing second stick.
Thanks to the theflow you can play this game with both sticks on a Vita with this plugin:

I finished the game this way and it was awesome!
Unfortunately the plugin doesn't work in the multiplayer mode. If anyone of you understands what he did and can read the code, maybe it can be fixed easily?

Yep, that's the one.
I didn't know that it had already been dumped, a quick search for "Splinter Cell Essentials Promo" didn't yield anything.

I had no idea that someone made a plugin for this.
Might be a reason to dust off my Vita again.

What hurt the game almost as much as the controls for me were the long and frequent loading times and the really dumb AI.

It was still cool to play Splinter Cell on a handheld, though.
This game was actually one of the reasons why I got a PSP back in the day...
